David Johnson – Chief Executive Officer Leadership, vision, strategy

DAVID JOHNSONDavid Johnson has spent more than 20 years in Asia’s media industry, spanning Hong Kong, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. His broad experience ranges across media channels and platforms, from television and daily newspapers to monthly magazines, intelligence reports, journals, live online sites and books.

Before founding DAC, he was the Managing Director of Asia Books, and his resume includes stints in senior roles at Miller Freeman Asia, Haymarket Media Asia, Business Traveller, The Economist, SCMP, Bangkok Post and Alive Networks

Jules Kay – Chief Operating Officer Management, Processes, Creativity

Jules Kay has spent two decades working in Asia and held senior roles in journalism, publishing, marketing and business development for high profile companies in the luxury real estate, hospitality and travel sectors. Some of the brands he has worked with include Pontiac Land, Capella Hotels & Resorts, Banyan Tree Holdings, Laguna Property, Minor International (Four Seasons and St.Regis), Ritz Carlton, W Hotels and Resorts, The Villa Guide, Luxury Villas and Homes, Singapore Yacht Show, Princess Yachts, Intel Corporation and Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

He is well versed in digital content strategy and creation; his journalism work has been widely published online and on social media, as well as in a range of real estate, travel and lifestyle publications distributed throughout Asia. Jules is based in DAC’s headquarters in Bangkok and maintains proactive communications with our global teams, leading and managing all accounts to streamline business processes and help everyone complete their tasks effectively.

Jason Gagliardi – Communications Director Ideas, writing, contacts

JASON GAGLIARDIJason Gagliardi’s journalism career began in 1986 when he joined News Limited’s Brisbane daily, The Courier-Mail. His career has since seen him based in Hong Kong and Bangkok, in positions from news reporter to features writer and editor, sub editor, columnist and magazine writer, advertising copywriter, creative director and PR man.

Jason’s writing has appeared in Time, Sunday Telegraph Magazine (UK), The Australian, Sydney Morning Herald, South China Morning Post, Colors, Playboy, Sports Illustrated, Monocle, Harpers Bazaar, Four Seasons & Mandarin Oriental magazines, Elle, First Post, DestinAsian, Sawasdee and many other magazines and newspapers. He is co-author of Dorling Kindersley’s Top 10 Guide to Hong Kong and Macau. 

Kamolux Israngkul Na Ayuthaya (Mint) - Communications Director Client focus

KAMOLUX ISRANGKUL NA AYUTHAYAMint is a consummate PR professional, with a positive work ethic, willingness to engage and genuine passion for hospitality.

She was formerly the Public Relations Manager at Angsana Laguna, Phuket, and at the KC Hotels & Resorts International Group INC on Koh Samui.

 

Sean Elliott – Digital & Social Media Director Strategy, creation & management

SEAN ELLIOTT DIGITAL AND SOCIAL MEDIA DIRECTORSean is a digital media all rounder, skilled in creative, production, strategic and project implementation & management. The former Marketing & Brand Manager at Allianz Global Assistance, Sean managed Thai business unit’s transition into alignment with Allianz Group’s global corporate branding and digital media policy, and doing so gained exposure to and understanding of the nature of global branding management.

Sean is a true believer in the power of social media and using it to create engaged brand champions.

Rosemary Hamilton - Communications Manager (Australia)

ROSEMARY HAMILTONRosemary’s 20 years’ experience in communications was accrued around the globe, from London to Hong Kong, Shanghai, Bangkok, Singapore, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Sydney and Melbourne.

She was the Managing Editor at Communication Management in Hong Kong, in charge of Eve, Couture and Men Mode, plus Lane Crawford’s luxury magazine, worked closely with Chanel, Cartier, The Gucci Group and all LVMH labels.

The past 10 years she has been based in Australia as the principal of Hamilton Productions Publicity and Publishing, whose clients include  Universal Music Australia, Anytime Fitness Australia, Wish Designs to Armani, Dolce & Gabana, Valentino and Versace.

Lysbeth FoxCommunications Manager (UK) Luxury travel PR legend

LYSBETH FOXWith over 15 years’ experience in the luxury, lifestyle and travel sectors since beginning her PR career at Weber Shandwick, Lysbeth was instrumental in setting up luxury travel specialists Mason Rose and Halpern’s travel & lifestyle division, before launching out on her own with Fox Consulting. Lysbeth relaunched Necker Island for Richard Branson’s Virgin Limited Edition, with celebrity associations including Elizabeth Hurley, Christian Slater and Kim Cattrall. Her impeccable connections to the UK’s quality press are invaluable

Matt ScottCommunications Manager (Hong Kong and China) The entertainer

MATTHEW SCOTTMatt has been based in Hong Kong since leaving his native Australia in 1994, covering entertainment, sport, travel and leisure across Asia, and the globe. His work has featured in The Guardian and The Independent  in the UK, The Age, The Australian, New York Daily News, SCMP, Prestige, Tatler, HK Golfer, and China Daily. Melinda EarsdonCommunications Manager (Singapore) Human dynamo

MELINDA EARSDENMelinda brings 18 years in Asia in strategic marketing, PR and communications to the DAC table. This includes senior marketing roles at Mercer and Hewitt Associates up to Vice President level. Melinda is a seasoned journalist who writes for Harper’s Bazaar, Hong Kong Tatler, Sands Style, Home Journal, AsiaSpa, Perspective, Today’s Living, Media Magazine, Global Health & Travel and more. Her book projects include Home Inspirations, HK Tatler’s Best Restaurant Guide (2003-2006), Hong Kong Superbrands (Volumes 1 and 2) and Luxury Superbrands.

Nazvi CareemCommunications Manager (Malaysia) Old Asia hand

NAZVI CAREEMMore than 25 years’ experience in journalism and public relations spanning Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. Nazvi has help senior journalist positions with SCMP, ESPN STAR Sports, Singapore Press Holdings and Reuters, while also working with the Asian Football Confederation and investment consultancy Inside Investor. He lectures in journalism and communications at University College Sedaya International, Malaysia.

Pavel Matveyev - Communications Manager (Russia)

PAVEL MATVEYEVPavel Matveyev is a lifestyle, travel and aviation PR specialist with pan- European experience in the private aviation and luxury sectors.

Originally from Moscow, Pavel has been a feature writer for many of Russia’s top luxury magazines and blogs for Condé Nast Traveller.

Mark Bode - Senior Writer (Thailand)

MARK BODEMark started in journalism at age 17 at News Limited-owned Sun Newspapers in Brisbane.

Career in journalism spans 29 years, he has worked in senior news, sport, features and editing positions at leading newspapers in Australia, Hong Kong, Dubai and Bangkok.

The Australian newspaper described Mark’s creative writing as a ‘tour de force’.
