The AHMS Collection

Challenge:

AKARYN Hospitality Management Services owner and AHMS Collection founder Anchalika Kijkanakorn is a pioneer in the boutique hotel and resort business, having created the Aleenta, AKARYN and akyra brands while continually evolving and honing her vision of warm Thai hospitality and intuitive luxury in line with market forces and prevailing trends. But her first mover advantage won’t last forever, and new ways of garnering cut through in an increasingly competitive and cluttered market are required.

Big Idea:

At DAC, we know that sometimes the best answer to a problem can be staring you in the face if you will only see it. The AHMS Collection comprises four resorts with a great range of guest packages, although some of these experiences may not be sufficient on their own merit to excite much press attention. But with a bit of lateral thinking and creativity, a ‘sticky’ name and a unique combination of activites and promotions can be transformed into an authentic experience to be unveiled with fanfare … and the media sits up and takes notice.

Delivery: 

DAC devised new package ideas and worked with the AHMS Collection team to redefine and reshape existing activities to gain more cut though. Among the ideas which received the most interest and best coverage were:

Gourmet Gliders at Aleenta Hua Hin, an organic farm tour and cooking class for aspiring gourmands that added the adrenaline charged thrill of a paramotor flight to the equation.
